As unexpected as finding on the moon,
A tumble dryer, transported by hot air balloon,
By palomino mice playing a Beethoven tune,
On blancmange bassons .
To erode the whole of Everest’s peaks,
By splitting rocks to make them weak,
Then through fossilised fissures icy fingers seek,
To havoc wreak.
Then wind does scrape with diamond teeth,
The sands that once lay deep beneath
The oceans cold and dark and deep,
On which now floats a wreath.
And on that wreath there is a name,
Of once mountainous heroic fame,
Now into the sea it bleeds with shame,
Never, ever to be the same again.
