Spring salad days

April 4.  Today’s Napowrimo 2026 quest is to craft our own short poem that involves a weather phenomenon and some aspect of the season. We should try using rhyme and keeping our lines of roughly even length.

In my spring salad days
Biannually, and without fail
Seasons signalled change,
With revolutionary weather veils.

Autumn’s breath would descend,
Cloaked in a grizzly shroud,
A week of fog heralding summer’s end,
And a sky of slate grey cloud.

Winter would be despatched
On a warm March breeze,
And the year’s first sun on my back
Delivered its Printemps sneeze.
